Our history

"Growing wiser through pain and suffering"

From toolmaker to own business

The first products were plastic consumption tokens intended for the catering industry. However, the range soon expanded; hands had to be rolled out even further, the whole family was busy! Growing production on the Stegen went to 3 staff and 11 machines, but that location was soon too small. Lolaar then moved to the Dwarsdijk industrial estate in Helmond. A commercial building with 2,800m2 of space. Further development soon  showed that this too did not offer sufficient growth opportunities. In 2000, the building on the Waterbeemd was ready and everything could be moved again. Today, we are still in this building, but have continued to grow considerably.

The number of machines and employees has continued to grow. A number of surrounding properties are now also part of the ‘Lolaar premises’. The future will show for the second generation of the Loverbos family whether this location can offer sufficient opportunities.
We currently work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in a five-shift system to keep the machinery running and to deliver customer orders as agreed.

A journey through time...

1969
Antoon Loverbos
From toolmaker to own business

Antoon Loverbos was a young man of 17 years old. In 1969, he joined 1 of the largest toolmakers in the Netherlands as a mould maker.

After a few years, he had worked his way up and managed 130 other mould makers. But then it happened... A new management came in!

Unfortunately, there was no good match between this new management and Antoon... He decided to choose for himself and leave. He wanted to go into the next link in the production chain; plastic injection moulding. Step by step, he made the transition from toolmaker to his own company.
